Our business was established over 400 years ago. Because of the techniques of our chief brewers, who approach brewing with the philosophy of “the heart is in sake,” we produce sake in which Ikoma’s famous water and our high-quality rice exist in splendid harmony, with a mellow aroma and excellent flavor. This comes in two brands, “Seicho” (made up of the first character from “Ikoma” and the character meaning “long”), whose name comes from our long-standing love for Ikoma, and “Kicho” (made up of the character meaning “happy” and the character meaning “long”), named for the fact that it makes happiness last longer. We constantly take up new challenges, and in recent years, we have begun offering organic Kicho sake, which uses totally chemical-free organic rice.
