Nara Toyosawa
Established in 1868, the first year of the Meiji Era, we have continued to make sake by hand, with almost no mechanization. This is evinced by the fact that 80% of the sake produced by Nara Toyosawa Shuzo consists of can be considered specific-class sake, at the level of “Junmai-shu” (no added alcohol or sugar) or above. And because of our wholehearted devotion to our hand-crafting methods, our way of brewing Nara Houshuku sake meets the needs of the people who love Houshuku, while remaining flexible enough to deal with a variety of circumstances. We are proud of our fastidious nature, and we will remain diligently devoted to brewing sake.
